This is the easiest thing you’ll do all week. It’s a one-pan delight that will save you time and hassle with the preparing and washing up.


Pre-heat your oven to 220C/fan200C/gas mark 7. Wrap each sausage with a rasher of bacon and gently fry with the oil in a flameproof roasting tin on the hob. Just as the bacon is starting to turn golden brown, place the tin in the oven to roast for 20 minutes.

Chop the apples into wedges and gently mix in with the with the sausages, roast for a further 10 minutes until the sausages are golden brown and the apples are caramelised and glistening.

Serve with a garlic and herb mash for a quick and easy comfort meal that will leave everyone speechless.

For a bit of extra flavour, use pork and herb sausages or garnish with herbs of your choice with plain pork sausages.
